Hermann Tortoise (no setup)

The Hermann tortoise is a great beginner tortoise and the most recognised.

These Hermann tortoises hatched June 2021. They are UK captive bred and come with a their Article 10 license.

They are a very friendly breed of tortoise, and they have beautiful markings on their smooth shells.

During the summer months, Hermann’s would enjoy being able to wander the garden and bask in the lovely sunshine. As with every tortoise, temperature is key, so make sure that your tortoise's enclosure has all the key requirements.

Important Notice

Please be aware that it is essential for a tortoise to have access to UV light all year round for the growth of their shell and bones. They especially need it during the winter months when they are no longer able to go outside and during the first 12 months, when they will not be hibernating.

This species needs to hibernate. Do Not hibernate during the first winter of ownership.
