Whilst we are waiting for this year's eggs to hatch and whilst we have a couple of weeks before the joiner delivers the rest of the tortoise housing for the current held orders, we have decided to take the opportunity to take some time off. We'll only be gone for a week and I can assure you that we have double checked all delivery dates and there will be no delays created by this time off, nothing is due until we return.
Due to recent cuts within the company, we are now having to take the post to the nearest post office personally, on foot. This means that where we could normally put 1 or 2 postal items into a sack and have them picked up on our daily collection, we are now going to wait until we have filled a sack or the end of the week before making the trip. Postal orders may only be taken to the post office once a week, Friday. During busy periods, we will take post to the post office on a daily basis, if need be.
Facebook messages will be answered as soon as I see them, as usual. Emails will be picked up by myself and Gemma sporadically, however, whilst we are out of the office, we cannot deal with anything directly order related, please save those until we reopen. Happy Christmas from The Tortoise Shop
Please read for last days for ordering certain products, how to contact us over the holiday period and when we will reopen in the New Year
As of 12pm Friday 27th November we are fully booked for tortoise deliveries.
If you are thinking of emailing us to ask for an update, please read first. Those who have ordered will receive updates when we apply for our certificates and then again when the certificates reach us. We cannot give an accurate timescale until this point, so emailing before serves no purpose, other than taking up an entire day.
