Tortoise Life is a species specific substrate ,  this substrate is ideal for Mediterranean and Russan ( horsfield ) tortoises ,

The blend of ingredients provide an ideal mix of texture and moisture retention to simulate the soils found in their natural habitats .

The mix also contains pure limestone which provides additional calcium if the tortoise should eat it .
