We've put together this handy little package for when UVB is in short supply, i.e. when your tortoise is housed indoors for a considerable length of time.

The arcadia compact light has a UVB output of 10% which is ideal for allowing tortoises to manufacture their own vitamin D3 supply, which is needed in the assimilation of calcium in their diet.

This kit comes complete with the Arcadia bulb, plus lamp holder , mains cable, & plug.

It can be used on any of our housing kits, and most other home-made tortoise set-ups, especially where space is an issue and conventional length UVB  tubes would be impractical.

This excellent DVD and booklet combination pack provides insights into identifying different varieties of Mediterranean Testudo graeca, illustrates the natural habitats these animals are found in, and discusses their proper care and maintenance in captivity. It is an especially useful reference to have available when designing indoor and outdoor accommodation.

The information, although directed towards the Spur-thighed tortoises, is also applicable to Hermanns, Horsfields and Marginated tortoises too.
